Ram Kapoor heaps praises on Rakhi Sawant, claims Bollywood tried to ‘misuse’ her: ‘Bahut saari gandi experiences…’

Ram Kapoor, who is in the news for his drastic and inspiring weight loss journey, recently spoke about Rakhi Sawant, praising her for building a name for herself in the industry without any godfather. Ram Kapoor, who got to know Rakhi Sawant when he hosted her Swayamvar in 2009, in a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, said that though he might disagree with Rakhi Sawant’s opinions, he respects her for becoming successful despite having no connection in the industry.

Ram Kapoor was quoted as saying, “Today, the entire nation knows Rakhi Sawant’s name. She lives in a 3 BHK sea-facing apartment in Mumbai which I have been to which she owns. Respect! She achieved this herself. I might not agree with her philosophy, madness… waahiyaat cheezein bolti hai wo but wo jo bhi hai, jo bhi karti hai, the fact is she has managed to make her life by herself and I have seen it. How could you not respect it? Koi ek nice, sexy dancer jisko industry misuse karna chahte the… bahut saari gandi experiences hai uski… no godfather… nothing… ye sab dekha maine because of ‘Rakhi Ka Swayamvar’ so you learn from everything.”

Speaking about his journey, Ram Kapoor said, “For five years I was on a weight loss roller coaster losing 30 kilos and then gaining it back,” he said in a podcast with Devna Gandhi.
