Traitors finalist Alexander Dragonetti has told the BBC he’s “incredibly grateful” after people donated more than £70,000 to Mencap.

“The funny thing is I said I’d donate some of my winnings to a charity and, in it’s own way, this is a version of winning, right? This is more than I’d ever have won,” he said.

The former British diplomat’s brother had Global Developmental Delay and autism.

Alexander said that every year he and his brother would go to a summer camp, where his brother “could be himself, he’d have infinite attention… and my parents could get a break.”
