Cracking the Civil Services Exam (CSE) is more than a dream for millions who aspire to become officers under IAS, IPS, IRS and many more. These are reputable jobs, esteemed jobs that allow one to record their names among the elite ranks of civil servants.
However, not many are able to achieve this position but those who do see their fortune changing for good. Millions of Indians every year work day and night to pass the UPSC exams, but even after years of trials and attempts only few can get through.
These few possess unwavering determination and resilience. One such notable person is IAS Priyanka Goel, whose undeterred attitude and consistency resulted in her becoming an IAS officer amidst many failures.
Priyanka Goel’s education
Priyanka Goel is a commerce graduate from University of Delhi’s Keshav Mahavidyalaya (KMV). She passed her 12th from Delhi’s Pitampura school Maharaja Agrasen Model School with 93% marks. She started her preparation for CSE in 2016 and in 2017, the next year, gave her first attempt. The next year, that is in 2018, she failed to clear her prelims by just 0.3 marks.
Priyanka Goel took Public Administration as her optional subject and received 292 marks.
With renewed determination, Priyanka made her sixth attempt, ultimately achieving success in the 2022 UPSC CSE, securing a prestigious All India Rank of 369, thanks to her unwavering perseverance and consistent hard work. She has been allotted DANIAS (Delhi, Andaman, Nicobar Islands, Lakshwadeep, Dadra Nagar Haveli and Daman Diu) cadre.
